Less waste, more value
VALTOM
Valtom wanted to produce an animated film that would be both explanatory and concrete, presenting the local authority through its missions, its recycling performance and its actions in terms of the circular economy and resource creation.

The brief
Valtom recovers and treats the waste of almost 700,000 people living in the Puy-de-Dôme and Haute-Loire regions. To achieve its objectives, the local authority works in four areas to optimise and cooperate. To do so, it needs to inform and mobilise all its partners. Using 2D animation and motion design, the film was aimed at a very wide audience, from schoolchildren to elected representatives and the general public, and intended to be shown in a variety of contexts: websites, social networks, on-site visits, events, etc.

Our process
To hook the viewer from the first seconds, we worked on a script that prioritizes the introduction of the most attractive information for the public, those that most affect their daily life or stimulate their curiosity.
Through its graphic style, the quality of its animation and its general aesthetic, the film had to be consistent with the image of Valtom. Once we’ve got the concept down, our illustrators get to work, crafting original characters, backgrounds, and all the little details that make the story pop. During the animation stage, we make sure that every move feels smooth, natural, and full of personality. Our creative process is all about collaboration and refinement, with constant feedback to ensure every frame is just right. We work to find just the right colours, textures, and lighting that give the animation a vibrant, immersive feel. In the end, it’s all about delivering a nice, engaging video that feels fresh, original, and in sync with the client’s vision.
